Today ( October 29th, 2009 ) is ~revell and my project's third birthday! Whoohoo!



We're finishing up with the plotting for the main story and then we're going to finalize some things. If all goes well, we should be looking into getting it picked up in 2010 and hopefully start filming by the end of that year.

The show has some really dark elements to it, but it also has some great psychology aspects to it as well. It is very slow paced so that the viewers can get to know the characters and see how things develop throughout the course of the story.

I really hope that we get this out soon. It's the biggest and best project that I have worked on so far ( perhaps even the best one I will ever work on, but I can't really say. ). I am so excited!

Unfortunately, the name we wanted for our company seems to be taken, so we're going to have to think of something else... I'm sure we'll come up with something. I'm trying to come up with something with certain initials ( which is rather dorky, I might add ), but it's pretty hard to do. Actually, I don't know what initials I want at this point, but I know I would like the name to be reasonably dorky, at least. Dorky is quite fitting.

...I also think I could have said all of that better, but enh. It's time to party!

I really, really do... I don't want any of them to go away ever... *clings*

I'm really lucky to have such awesome family members... We don't always agree and we're not even "together" as a family officially anymore, but I don't care. I love 'em all.

As for my projects, I love them so much as well... They are my future and one of the biggest things my life revolves around... So even if I never make it big ( Which I doubt, honestly. You guys should totally see my writer's work. *drools* ), I will never stop thinking about my ideas.

We have a new project that we're working on a bit as well. If it picks up a bit, we'll have two major projects and a few minor ones. That should be enough to work on for the time being.

So yeah.

I just wanted a new journal entry and so I decided to gush about my family and projects.

Edit ( 02-11-2009 ): I refer to ~revell as my writer, but she is also working on the projects themselves. The main projects are just as much hers as they are mine. In fact, she's going to be doing most of the writing on the newer project. Sorry that I wasn't clear on that. I know the situation and, for some reason, it didn't occur to me that others may not. I made another account to put graphics that other people may use. It will have stamps, icons, emoticons, and other types of graphics. It was originally going to be just a stamp account, so that I could make random stamps and not have to worry about putting too many on this account, but then I realized that it would be good to post other graphics as well.

I'm really irritated because of something that happened to me here on DA dealing with...politics, of all things. And I'm too much of a wuss to discuss it on the complaints forum, so I will put it here... If you don't want to 'hear' it, feel free to ignore.

Okay, so I am currently leaning towards the Obama/Biden side as far as the election goes (no surprise, really. I tend to lean toward the liberal side) and sometimes go to look at things involving them as well as stuff on the other party.

Well. I came across a Sarah Palin stamp. ( No link, because I'm not trying to start anything. Just venting. ) I usually don't comment when I disagree with something - once in a while I will, but I usually don't - but the way the person was behaving made me feel compelled to...

Basically, someone brought up the fact that she is for the hunting of wolves and, by doing so, caused a little scuffle. The creator of the stamp proceeded to call her a dumbass because "you can't hunt Wolves in the USA" and said that she should read up on stuff before she talks to her again.

I looked it up and found some interesting things on it. Like the fact that Palin supports a "predator control" program so that the moose and caribou populations will grow and they can have more animals to hunt. In fact, to encourage the killing of wolves, they're offering $150 for one of the forelegs of every wolf they kill. It is possible that the information isn't 100% correct, but the sources seemed reliable enough... I posted a few links in a comment to the stamp creator to show that I found some articles on the subject, as she seemed to believe that Palin could not support such a thing. If you (general you) like wolves, which I believe the creator of the stamp may, I would think you would like to make sure the candidate you want to vote for isn't going to treat them like that.

I also left a comment for the person who first talked about it and said that I know what she was talking about, because I felt a bit bad for her...

I was nervous after I posted the comments, because I figured that the person who made the stamp was going to yell at me... That's never fun. But I felt like I had to make a point, so... I checked a little while ago to see if she added any comments and found out that she hid my comments. Which may not be so bad if she hadn't left one by someone else that said "FUCK NO" on it. That's all it said! So it wasn't the fact that I disagreed with her, because others had done so before me. It was because I posted links to possible facts that she didn't like. She didn't even discuss with me that they were not true or that the source wasn't reliable or anything like that! All that tells me is that she can't believe her precious princess could ever do such things and to prove it, she's going to...hide the comments. Yeah, that'll make it untrue.

What's the matter, dear? Isn't that what you wanted?

Can any of you please inform me as to why anyone would actually vote for McCain/Palin? Seriously. I want to try to figure this out, because I've watched some of the things that others have and they said "McCain won that debate!". Huh? What are you talking about? Did I miss something? "20 years ago, I talked to a woman who lost a son to the war" stories do not count as "plans" or "ideas". It's touching and all, but I didn't get the point of all of that besides wanting to get the audience's sympathy. Also, I'm tired of people saying that "Obama doesn't understand" something when they're not understanding what Obama is saying and the fact that Palin doesn't seem to be any better; she may be even worse.

I'm going to wait and see if McCain can impress me in the future debates... Hopefully, he'll come up with something. Please, McCain? Pretty please?

Oh, and I can't wait until the VP debates! It's pretty much a win/win for me. If Palin "wins" the debate, it'll finally show me why people say "Palin Power". *twich* Makes me want to say "less" afterwards. And if Biden "wins" the debate, it will make the Obama/Biden side look even stronger for me and make me feel more confident with the side I'm leaning towards.


Sorry if I wasn't exactly nice about that... It's just, I'm rather frustrated right now and need to get some of it off of my chest. I guess that chick helped set it off, heh.

That was not meant to upset any of my friends or watchers, if you/they don't like what I said. It's just an opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Look Before You Place Your Hands Down

So a few weeks ago I went to Six Flags with my family (excluding my dad) and a couple of friends and had a rather...special experience. It began due to the frustration of dealing with my old crappy batteries that don't hold the charge very well anymore... I was trying to get the batteries to work and nothing I did was helping. I didn't really want to go to the theme park for the rides, as I am not much of a roller coaster fan, so my main reason for going was to take pictures. Needless to say, I was not pleased. My mom was being nice about it and offered to buy me batteries when we got a chance.

The chance arrived when the others went to go on a ride and we informed them that we needed to visit a gift shop to purchase the batteries. So we went there and looked at the batteries, which had no price, so my mom had to ask the guy who worked there.

As she asked him, I walked over to the battery area and looked at the merchandise, thinking to myself and placing my hands down on the counter like area. Suddenly there was a sharp pain in my hand. I was so shocked by it, I didn't know what to do. I pulled my hand away and looked down at the area to see a squirming wasp. Apparently I put my hand near or perhaps even on the thing and I think it stung me! I never really got a good look at my hand, so I don't know if there was ever a stinger involved, but it was hurting like a bitch for an hour or so... I don't think they can bite and the wasp squirming against my hand wouldn't cause long lasting pain. I was taken to the first aid area and this guy put something on it for me. I hadn't looked at my hand up until that point because me made me look at it. When it comes to injuries like that, I tend to avoid looking at it. It freaks me out too badly, I guess...

So yeah. At Six Flags, ~phantompanther has wasp sting her. [ "In Soviet Russia..." ]

If I remember correctly, that was my first sting from a wasp/bee and boy was it a stupid way to get it. I used to say that I have never experienced it before...

When it happened, I cried like a little baby and my mom wasn't sure what had happened. For a moment, she thought I was just being bratty about the batteries or something. XP; Nice.


Today's My Birthday

Indeed, the 27th of July is my birthday... This year I turn 23. Whoohoo and all of that jazz. o.o

Just felt like sharing?


Yesterday we went out to see The Dark Knight. It was pretty good. I usually don't exactly cheer for the good guys to kick someone's ass, because I'd rather them try to work out things with the opposing characters, but with that movie, I was getting frustrated with Joker and I literally said "Get him, Batman, get him!" quite a few times during the movie, especially the scenes involving the cars and trucks. ~revell knows. She was sitting right next to me and had to endure it.

Too bad Heath Ledger didn't get to see his performance...


And ummm, this new DA setup is going to take some getting used to.

Spyware and viruses have been giving me trouble lately... That's why I haven't been on as much. I think my computer is doing a little bit better now, so I decided to try to catch up a bit... I'm still not 100% comfortable with using my computer, but I don't think I ever will be...

Anyway.

I had a lot of things to talk about, but I guess I'll get to them later. Instead, I'll cover a little bit of things and then finally get to do this thing that ~Aranka tagged me for a looong time ago.


First, I was wondering, is there anything in my gallery that you would like to see on products on my Zazzle account? I can't really do anything with the zoo photographs, as the zoo asks us not to use them for commercial purposes, but I can do things with my random photographs and photos of cats... If you have any suggestions, feel free to let me know.


This is random, but I put a manipulation I've made of Sean Bean as one of my original characters in my webcam spot. Sean Bean actually inspired this character, so that's why I often use him in manips for him. The character's name is Warren Hayes and used to be known as "War Hero" until I found a name for him. I have a drawing in my gallery of him... I would like to try to manipulate a stock photo of someone into him one day so that I can actually post it in my gallery.


I have a lot of plans... Let's see if I actually get to accomplish anything sometime soon... I've been talking to my parents about it a bit, but I don't know... Bleh.


So yeah. I've been tagged. Let's get to it then.

I'm going to break some of the rules, because I don't like tagging people. If you want to do it, by all means, go for it! Feel free to let me know that you've done it, if you decide to do it.

1. When it comes to clothes, I shop in the men's section about 95% of the time. It's gotten so bad that when I made a few female characters for a project I'm working on with ~revell, I had to ask "Girls wear that, right?" I like big, baggy, comfortable clothes. I hate wearing dresses. Ugh.

2. Who loves soda? ~phantompanther loves soda. Is it true? Is it true? I do, I do, I do-ooo...! And on that note, I need that show on DVD so bad. ( For those who don't know what I'm talking about, it's a show that played on Nickelodeon called Kenan and Kel )

3. I love fandoms, but I get really frustrated with them sometimes. Two of the ones I get really frustrated with are The Phantom of the Opera and National Treasure.

I can't believe how much hate there is for the character Raoul. I haven't read the books, but from what I've heard of him and what I've seen of him in the movie, he's a pretty good guy. In the movie, he hasn't done anything seriously wrong. I think he has a slight issue with listening at times and can be a bit bland once in a while, but that's about it. He's sweet and courageous. A lot of people say he's a wuss and a fop, but he is NOT. Geez. Sure, The Phantom is sexy, but he's also possessive, unstable, and a murderer who doesn't seem to care that he is hurting people. I'm not saying people can't like him. I can see the appeal. I just wish people wouldn't act like he's some "innocent angel" and Raoul is the scum of the Earth. *bites random "phangirls" -gag-*

Now for National Treasure, everyone acts like Ian Howe is OMGEVIL. *rolls eyes* I hate his characterization in most fanfics. He's often portrayed as a complete gun happy bastard who only cares about himself. If anyone would take note, he didn't pick up a gun until THE END of the movie because he was tired of Ben's BULLSHIT. Not to mention, someone he was rather close to had just died and he really didn't need Ben bitching at him. It's not only the fans that do this though. Ian's treatment in the movie was terrible. Ben was acting as if Ian was the most evil thing to ever be evil and if Ian even TOUCHES the DoI, the world was going to explode. Riiight. The ending of that movie pisses me off so bad. I think both Ian and Ben should have been punished AND rewarded. Yeah, Ian was a bit aggressive at times, but if it weren't for him, Ben wouldn't have gotten that treasure and there's no way Ben should have gotten off with no punishment what-so-ever. I better stop here, as I have a huge urge to start ranting and cursing.

4. I really wish I could commission people to draw me some stuff... But I need to be making money, not spending it... *sigh* I am especially looking for those who can draw people and/or slash ( male/male ) of original and fandom characters... Anyone taking requests? *hopeful* Or perhaps up for trades...? I'm nervous about doing trades, because it takes me forever to get things finished. ( I haven't forgotten about you, =Rainblossom *bites self* )

5. I put a date on almost everything I do, or at least, I try to. I like to try to keep track of when I wrote or drew something for future reference. It's a damn good thing I do that too, as ~revell and I may run into name issues with our project... Some of the names happen to be similar to some stories that are out now and we're too attached to them to want to change them... Oy. We'll see how that goes.

6. I usually draw pretty small and really fast, unless I'm really trying not to. Some of my pages have about 10-20 drawings on it and that's just one side. Most of my doodles are drawn within 5 minutes. However, tracing and coloring them on Photoshop takes me hours. And I often don't like the results. I have issues with anatomy and drawing out what I see in my head...

7. I've noticed lately that I tend to like aggressive characters that have good intentions. A few examples are Wolverine ( X-Men ), Boromir ( The Lord of the Rings ), and Kyo ( Fruits Basket ).

8. I have so many things and ideas on my mind all of the time... It's crazy. You have no idea...


Err, there. I tried...? I was trying to think of things that were at least somewhat interesting, but I wasn't sure what people would find interesting for this...


Gonna go now. I'll try to get some things accomplished today. Hmmm...
