Can't Believe It's Been Years...

Hey, everyone! How's it going? It's been a while, eh? I hope you're all doing well.
I can't believe it's been over 5 years since I've submitted anything to my gallery. Time really does fly...
If you have something that you want to do, a goal, a dream, anything ( that doesn't hurt others or yourself, of course ), go for it. Don't hold off, as time will go by faster than you realize. The "I'll do it tomorrow"s will keep on piling up until months, even years, go by, and you haven't gotten anything you wanted done. It's painful. And you don't deserve to do that to yourself. I know it may be scary and you may be unsure, but you can't allow a lack of confidence to stop you. Keep working at it and eventually you'll succeed. You can do it!
I'm currently in the progress of getting my life in order. It will take a lot of effort and time, but it will be worth it in the end.
Oh, and playing some Team Fortress 2. I'm addicted. Do any of you play it? I mostly main medic, pyro, and engineer.

Main Plot For Our Project Is Finished

Way back on 10/29/2006, revell and I began a little roleplay session that was meant to simply be practice. Little did we know, it was going to become a major project, a television series to be exact, that would have a huge impact on our lives. Since then, we have worked with over 100 characters, made it through several plot points, and discovered many interesting twists along the way. And on 08/18/2010 ( yesterday ), two days away from revell's 24th birthday, marks the last day we officially worked on the main plot of the story. Sure, we may explore the story we have worked on to tweak it and whatnot, but no more official roleplay sessions to see where the story is headed; to see if the characters will make progress; to see what situations they get themselves in; to see who makes the biggest ass of himself of the day ( I think Phillips might be the king, but there are a few other people who might be close ); to see what surprises were around the corner. Yes, this project was just as much of a surprise to us as we hope it will be for the audience, once it's out there.
It's that reason why I am somewhat sad, despite my excitement. Yes, it's one step closer to actually getting this damn thing made ( it's been almost four years so far! ), but there is this sense of...loss, somehow. Even though we plan on working on possible specials for this project, I fear that it won't be quite the same. I was fine when I first realized that it was over, but about an hour or two later, when I really thought about it, and when I thought about it from the characters' perspective ( particularly Phillips, as he is one loud bastard ), I couldn't stop myself from crying a bit. Even as I write this, I find myself getting teary eyed. I suspect next Wednesday is going to be filled with sadness, as that was our official project day, to make sure that we wouldn't neglect it while we spent time doing other activities as well.
From here, we need to write a script ( revell is the writer, as she's magical ), write a summary and query letter, look for an agent, and then hopefully get picked up. I'm in charge of the summary, but I don't really know how to do it. I'm really nervous about that. So, if it's not any trouble, I might run it by you guys to see what you think, once I finally complete it. If you'd like, we could do some sort of trade off, so you can get something out of it too.
Another big concern of mine is...directing. I would prefer it if I were to direct the show, despite having no experience ( however, I plan on trying to change that ). I would hate to have the story heavily altered or to restrict the director's creative freedom, so handling it myself seems to be the best route, if I can manage it. If there's no way for me to do it, that's fine, but my ass is going to be on set every day and I'm going to make sure that it stays true to the project, including any changes they may want to make... I understand that it happens sometimes and it can be good, but I'm not as up to the idea for this project, especially considering how it was created. I'm really nervous about that, but we'll see how it goes...
Even if the plotting for the main part of the story is complete, we still have a lot of work ahead of us and I am very anxious.

Happy Birthday, Project!

Today ( October 29th, 2009 ) is revell and my project's third birthday! 
Whoohoo!
We're finishing up with the plotting for the main story and then we're going to finalize some things. If all goes well, we should be looking into getting it picked up in 2010 and hopefully start filming by the end of that year.
The show has some really dark elements to it, but it also has some great psychology aspects to it as well. It is very slow paced so that the viewers can get to know the characters and see how things develop throughout the course of the story.
I really hope that we get this out soon. It's the biggest and best project that I have worked on so far ( perhaps even the best one I will ever work on, but I can't really say.
). I am so excited!
Unfortunately, the name we wanted for our company seems to be taken, so we're going to have to think of something else... I'm sure we'll come up with something.I'm trying to come up with something with certain initials ( which is rather dorky, I might add ), but it's pretty hard to do. Actually, I don't know what initials I want at this point, but I know I would like the name to be reasonably dorky, at least. Dorky is quite fitting. 
...I also think I could have said all of that better, but enh. It's time to party!

I Love My Family And Projects

I really, really do... I don't want any of them to go away ever... *clings*
I'm really lucky to have such awesome family members... We don't always agree and we're not even "together" as a family officially anymore, but I don't care. I love 'em all.
As for my projects, I love them so much as well... They are my future and one of the biggest things my life revolves around... So even if I never make it big ( Which I doubt, honestly. You guys should totally see my writer's work. *drools* ), I will never stop thinking about my ideas.
We have a new project that we're working on a bit as well. If it picks up a bit, we'll have two major projects and a few minor ones. That should be enough to work on for the time being.
So yeah.
I just wanted a new journal entry and so I decided to gush about my family and projects.
I hope you all are doing well!
Edit ( 02-11-2009 ): I refer to revell as my writer, but she is also working on the projects themselves. The main projects are just as much hers as they are mine. In fact, she's going to be doing most of the writing on the newer project. Sorry that I wasn't clear on that. I know the situation and, for some reason, it didn't occur to me that others may not. I made another account to put graphics that other people may use. It will have stamps, icons, emoticons, and other types of graphics. It was originally going to be just a stamp account, so that I could make random stamps and not have to worry about putting too many on this account, but then I realized that it would be good to post other graphics as well.

I'm really irritated because of something that happened to me here on DA dealing with...politics, of all things. And I'm too much of a wuss to discuss it on the complaints forum, so I will put it here... If you don't want to 'hear' it, feel free to ignore.
Okay, so I am currently leaning towards the Obama/Biden side as far as the election goes (no surprise, really. I tend to lean toward the liberal side) and sometimes go to look at things involving them as well as stuff on the other party.
Well. I came across a Sarah Palin stamp. ( No link, because I'm not trying to start anything. Just venting. ) I usually don't comment when I disagree with something - once in a while I will, but I usually don't - but the way the person was behaving made me feel compelled to...
Basically, someone brought up the fact that she is for the hunting of wolves and, by doing so, caused a little scuffle. The creator of the stamp proceeded to call her a dumbass because "you can't hunt Wolves in the USA" and said that she should read up on stuff before she talks to her again.
I looked it up and found some interesting things on it. Like the fact that Palin supports a "predator control" program so that the moose and caribou populations will grow and they can have more animals to hunt. In fact, to encourage the killing of wolves, they're offering $150 for one of the forelegs of every wolf they kill.
It is possible that the information isn't 100% correct, but the sources seemed reliable enough... I posted a few links in a comment to the stamp creator to show that I found some articles on the subject, as she seemed to believe that Palin could not support such a thing. If you (general you) like wolves, which I believe the creator of the stamp may, I would think you would like to make sure the candidate you want to vote for isn't going to treat them like that.
I also left a comment for the person who first talked about it and said that I know what she was talking about, because I felt a bit bad for her...
I was nervous after I posted the comments, because I figured that the person who made the stamp was going to yell at me... That's never fun. But I felt like I had to make a point, so... I checked a little while ago to see if she added any comments and found out that she hid my comments.
Which may not be so bad if she hadn't left one by someone else that said "FUCK NO" on it. That's all it said! So it wasn't the fact that I disagreed with her, because others had done so before me. It was because I posted links to possible facts that she didn't like. She didn't even discuss with me that they were not true or that the source wasn't reliable or anything like that! All that tells me is that she can't believe her precious princess could ever do such things and to prove it, she's going to...hide the comments. Yeah, that'll make it untrue. 
What's the matter, dear? Isn't that what you wanted?
Can any of you please inform me as to why anyone would actually vote for McCain/Palin? Seriously. I want to try to figure this out, because I've watched some of the things that others have and they said "McCain won that debate!". Huh? What are you talking about? Did I miss something? "20 years ago, I talked to a woman who lost a son to the war" stories do not count as "plans" or "ideas". It's touching and all, but I didn't get the point of all of that besides wanting to get the audience's sympathy.
Also, I'm tired of people saying that "Obama doesn't understand" something when they're not understanding what Obama is saying and the fact that Palin doesn't seem to be any better; she may be even worse.
I'm going to wait and see if McCain can impress me in the future debates... Hopefully, he'll come up with something. Please, McCain? Pretty please?
Oh, and I can't wait until the VP debates! It's pretty much a win/win for me. If Palin "wins" the debate, it'll finally show me why people say "Palin Power". *twich* Makes me want to say "less" afterwards. And if Biden "wins" the debate, it will make the Obama/Biden side look even stronger for me and make me feel more confident with the side I'm leaning towards.
Sorry if I wasn't exactly nice about that... It's just, I'm rather frustrated right now and need to get some of it off of my chest. I guess that chick helped set it off, heh.
That was not meant to upset any of my friends or watchers, if you/they don't like what I said. It's just an opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I want to try to figure this out, because I've watched some of the things that others have and they said "McCain won that debate!". Huh? What are you talking about? Did I miss something? "20 years ago, I talked to a woman who lost a son to the war" stories do not count as "plans" or "ideas". It's touching and all, but I didn't get the point of all of that besides wanting to get the audience's sympathy.
Also, I'm tired of people saying that "Obama doesn't understand" something when they're not understanding what Obama is saying and the fact that Palin doesn't seem to be any better; she may be even worse.I'm going to wait and see if McCain can impress me in the future debates... Hopefully, he'll come up with something. Please, McCain? Pretty please?
Oh, and I can't wait until the VP debates!
It's pretty much a win/win for me. If Palin "wins" the debate, it'll finally show me why people say "Palin Power". *twich* Makes me want to say "less" afterwards. And if Biden "wins" the debate, it will make the Obama/Biden side look even stronger for me and make me feel more confident with the side I'm leaning towards. Sorry if I wasn't exactly nice about that... It's just, I'm rather frustrated right now and need to get some of it off of my chest. I guess that chick helped set it off, heh.
